Ionia Sentinel Standard, 22 May 2015

Vern L. Warnes, age 90, of Ionia, passed away May 19, 2005.  He was born Dec.
30, 1924, in Ionia the son of Harry and Ada (Smith) Warnes.  Vern married Elaine
Yeiter on June 19, 1949, in Lowell.  She preceded him in death in 2014.  He was
a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church.

Vern is survived by his son, John (Carol) Warnes of Lake Odessa; grandchildren,
Brandy Barr of Ionia, Zachary Warnes (Fiance’ Tara Roberts) of Ravena, and Jacob
Warnes of Lake Odessa; great-grandchildren, Mario, Vincent, Edie, and De’Angelo.)

Funeral Services will be Saturday, May 23, 11 a.m. at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia
with Father William Whiting officiating.  Visitation on Friday from 5-8 p.m. at
the funeral home.  Those wishing may make contributions to St. John’s Episcopal
Church or Ionia Area Hospice.
