Ionia Sentinel 28 January 1963
Alfred H. Warnke, 61, of 623 North Jackson street, died at 1:30 pm Saturday at 
Ionia County Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient since December 16.  
He was born at his present residence May 23, 1901, the son of William F. and 
Agusta Bielow Warnke.  Mr. Warnke had been ill since 1924 but had repaired 
watches at his home more than 20 years.  He was a member of St. Johns Lutheran 
church.

Survivors include one brother, William Warnke of Ionia; two sisters, Elise and 
Selma at home; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Carl Warnke of Wauwatosa, Wis.; a niece, 
Mrs. Byron Hodson, a nephew, Gary Warnke of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Funeral service will be conducted at St. Johns Lutheran church with the Rev. 
Theodore Timler officiating.  A memorial for St. Johns Lutheran Church has been 
established and contributions will be accepted at Boynton funeral home.  Burial 
will be at Highland Park Cemetery.
