Warnshuis, 75, 409 Rice street, died Monday night at Ionia County Memorial hospital where she had been a patient for five weeks. She was born August 14, 1884 in Alton, Iowa, the daughter of Rev. and Mrs. John W. Warnshuis. Miss Warnshuis came from Holland 12 years ago to make her home in Ionia. She had been a music and piano teacher for 60 years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian church of Ionia and had been junior choir director. Most of her life she was interested in Sunday school and youth work. She was a former president of the Womens’ Association of the Presbyterian church. Miss Warnshuis is survived by two brothers, Rev. John Warnshuis of New London, Conn., and Henry W. Warnshuis of Ionia; two sisters, Mrs. Verne Oggell of Glen Rock, N.J., and Mrs. Henry Pyle of North Muskegon. Service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First Presbyterian church. The Rev. Wilfred G. Sawyier will officiate and burial will be at Riverside cemetery at Kalamazoo. The body of Miss Warnshuis will be at the Myers funeral home until time of the service.
