Ionia Daily Sentinel – Friday, 31 October 1947

Death came Thursday to Portland’s oldest resident, Harrison Theodore Warren, 
96, of Portland.  He died at the home of his son, George.  Funeral Services 
are to be conducted from the Bandfield Funeral home Saturday at 2 p.m.   
Burial will be at the Portland Cemetery.  Survivors are his son, George; three 
daughters, Mrs. Wilbur Darling and Mrs. Bertha Seldon, both of Portland, and 
Mrs. Jack Elliott of East Lansing; nine grandchildren, and 23 great-
grandchildren.

Mr. Warren was born in Ohio and came to Portland when six years of age.  He 
had loved at Portland for 90 years.
