Deceased had resided in Portland many years, and was a capable woman, possessing much more than the average intelligence, being a great student. She was a member of the Ladies’ Literary Club. She had lived with her sister, Mrs. Conklin, many years. The funeral services were conducted from her late home on James Street on Friday afternoon last, Rev. Goodell, of the Eagle Universalist Church, officiating.
