Warren Passes Away -Stricken With Typhoid Fever Three weeks ago we mentioned in these columns that Jane Warren was in a hospital in Chicago sick with typhoid fever. Thursday afternoon the sad news came by wire that she was dead. Her remains were brought here Friday and taken in charge of by undertaker Wilson who conveyed them to her late home at the farm of her mother, northwest of the city. They were accompanied from Chicago by her sister, Estella, who was with her during her sickness and death. It was about a year ago that Jane went to Chicago and worked at dress-making until she was taken sick. She had lived here nearly all her life and learned dress-making a number of years ago, which business she pursued with success. Services over the deceased was held at the house Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock, Rev. W. L. Davidson of Greenville, preaching an excellent sermon. Many beautiful floral offerings were contributed by friends who were there to pay their last respects. Her body was borne to the Otisco Cemetery by Walter Meach, Silas Cobb, Walter Menkee, C. M. Wise, Harry Lester and Melvin Curtis. She was 29 years, 11 months and 1 day old, was born in Eureka, Montcalm county, April 3, 1867. The funeral was largely attended and it was a solemn occasion.
