Dennis H. Wartella, 65, of Portland, Mich., passed away on Monday, July 8, 
2013. He was born on March 22, 1948 in Moran, Mich. the son of Henry and 
Georgina (Burton) Wartella.

Mr. Wartella retired from General Motors after 35 years of service and also ran 
a ceramics shop for 20 years.

Dennis was a devoted husband and father, was a very good and caring man, and 
was always lending a hand to others. He enjoyed attending arts and crafts shows 
in his free time.

Surviving are his wife, Sherry Wartella; children, Jeremy (Alisha Sweet) 
Wartella, and Erica (Jeff) Hawes; grandchildren, Brendan, Gaige, Amber, J.J., 
and Quest; three sisters, Diane, Shelby, and Theresa; brother, Roger; several 
nieces and nephews.

The Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Lehman 
Funeral Homes, 210 E. Bridge St., Portland, with Rev. Ed. Filter, Pastor of St. 
Andrew's Lutheran Church, Portland, presiding.
