Gaye E. Washburn, age 71, of Saranac passed away April 6, 2007 in Grand 
Rapids. She was born August 13, 1935 in Alto, Michigan the daughter of Frank 
and Madeline (Phelps) Barnhart. She worked at Adgates Grocery for 23 years and 
lived in Saranac Area since 1982.

Gaye is survived by her daughters; Tracy and Sam Mata of Lowell, Tina Morey of 
Grand Rapids, Tisha and Tony Jones of Georgia and Katy and Darryl Dumas of 
Clarksville; brother, James and Barb Barnhart of Lowell; sisters, Constance 
and Jerry Winterburn of Grand Rapids and Ann and Dan Huver of Lowell, 13 
grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. 

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, at Lake Funeral Home in 
Saranac with Pastor John Williams officiating. Anyone wishing may make 
memorial contributions in Gaye’s name to American Cancer Society.
