THEODORA ANN WASSOM
Dewitt - Theodora "Teddy" Ann (Hardin) Wassom was born Dec. 9, 1941 in Delray, 
Michigan, and passed away March 18, 2016 at the age of 74. Theodora was the 
daughter of Virginia lee (Koons) Janislawski.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Reed Wassom; sons, Darrin (Rhonda) 
Wassom and Kevin (Kare Armstrong) Wassom; daughter, Tracie Dinehart (Brian) 
Shindorf; Grandchildren, Alexander Wassom. Abigail Wassom and Audrey Wassom, A 
Ashley Martinez, Ellie Dinehart, Rylie Dinehart, and Dawson Shindorf; several 
nieces and nephews; and sister, Rebecca (Joseph) Brown.

Everything Teddy did in life was for someone else-her husband, her children, her 
grandchildren, and her dogs. She always put everyone ahead of herself, and if 
you did get her to stop and sit down, it was only for a few minutes. Her role in 
life was caretaker, and nobody was better at it than she was. Her family was her 
pride, joy, and purpose.

Teddy loved the large herd of dogs and cats in the families and was very 
supportive of the rescue efforts provided by the organizations that they all 
came from. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Silver Muzzle Cottage, 
201 EC Loomis Drive, Elk Rapids, 49629; Mid-Michigan Cat Rescue, 1117 Tulip St., 
Grand Ledge 48837; or Ionia County Animal Shelter, 3853 Sparrow drive, Ionia, 
MI. 48846, in memory of Theodora.

The family is being served by Gorsline-Runciman Funeral Homes DeWitt Chapel. Per 
Teddy's wishes, a private family ceremony was held and there will be no public 
services.
