Ionia Sentinel  9 March 1936
Howard Waterman,  age 54 years, died at the University hospital at Ann Arbor  
Saturday  March 7, at 3:30 o'clock  in the afternoon,  of pneumonia.  He  had  
been at the hospital a week.  He had lived in Ionia county  all his life.   His 
wife died about 10  years ago.  He had served in the United States army for 
three years, having enlisted from Grand Rapids.

Those who  survive him  are two sons,  Lawrence of Chila, Ind., and  Russell  of 
Ionia; a daughter,  Mrs. Gladys Arner, of  Waukegon, Ill.,  and one  brother, 
Floyd of Seattle,  Wash.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Myers 
funeral home.  Rev. F. J. Fitch officiating.   Interment will  be at the Oak  
Hill cemetery.
