He was returning from the R. M. Wilson funeral and when near F. H. Hudson’s store fell to the walk. A. M. Eaves and others were close by and assisted him into the store. With difficulty he told them to send for Dr. Dutt who soon came and Mr. Waterman was taken to his home where he continued to grow worse and passed away about midnight. A few months ago he had suffered a slight stroke. Deceased was sixty-one years of age and had been a resident here for about twenty-five year, and was a quiet, peaceable citizen. Besides his wife, he leaves four children, Alice and Alton, Mrs. Fred Boyer of Flint and Vern Waterman of Detroit. The funeral services were held from the M. E. church Thursday afternoon.
