Waterman Passed to her Last Rest on Monday. On Monday, July 24th, about the hour of one, after an illness extending over a period of 78 days, Mary E. Waterman of this city laid down the burden of life to accept the beautiful rest in the realms of the pure and the holy, having passed the 78th milestone on the voyage of life, on the 30th day of June, 1904. Mrs. Waterman was for many years a faithful and consistent member of the Baptist church, her husband, Rev. A.H. Waterman who died at Morley about eight years ago, having been pastor of the Baptist church at Greenville at one time. Left alone after many happy years of wifehood, she divided the last years of her life between her children, spending a portion of her time at the home of her son Elmer E. Waterman of Morley, and the remainder at the home of her son Frank in this city, where the final summons came. The funeral services were held at the home of her son Frank on Wednesday morning. Rev. H.N. Spear officiating, and the remains were taken to Morley for interment beside the remains of him who in life had been a source of comfort and joy.
