Ionia Standard, 1 Nov 1895

Lyons, Oct. 30 – Mrs. W. R. Waters, wife of our much esteemed Baptist minister, 
was buried last Tuesday, after a prolonged and painful sickness of many weeks.  
Although a resident among us for but a few months, Mrs. Waters had found a warm 
place in the hearts of the people of Lyons, and there was no want of friends and 
no lack of attention shown her during her sickness here.  Pastors from Bay City, 
Ionia, Portland, Muir and Lyons were present to assist our local pastor in the 
burial of his dead, and to sympathize with him and his family in their sad 
bereavement.
