She screamed and Chas. Annable, who was nearby, came to her assistance, and finally succeeded in smothering the flames, but not until her clothing was nearly burned off and her entire body above the hips was terribly burned. Dr. Allen was called and dressed the wounds, and has given her all needed professional attention since. The woman was without means, and Chas. Annable and Dennis Everest were engaged to take care of her. She lingered in great pain until 6 o’clock last evening, when death came to her relief. Deceased was a daughter of the late Lyman Dake, of Easton. She was married to Ed. Fish by whom she had one son, Eddie, Jr., connected with the Salvation Army and stationed in Charlevoix. This marriage does not seem to have been happy and they separated. She was subsequently married to Sid Waters, but affairs were not harmonious and for a long time she has guided her own life along lines that are best left in obscurity.
