The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, April 2007
Evelyn L. Waters aged 89 of Ionia passed away April 22, 2007. She was born 
December 17, 1917 in Ionia the daughter of Ralph and Florence (Burrows) Moore. 
She married Royce Waters October 30, 1936 in Grand Rapids. He preceded her in 
death in 1994.

Evelyn was the Church organist for Zion United Methodist Church for 30 plus 
years. She was Runner up at the Ionia Free Fair as Homemaker of the Year. She 
loved to Knit and Deer Hunt sometimes at the same time.

Evelyn is survived by her children Janet and David Seidleman of Ionia, Robert 
and Wilma Waters of Ionia and Barbara and Dorrance Hurlbut of Stanton. 9 
Grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren. 
Brothers in law Tom Westbrook Sr. of Ionia and Glenn and Dorothy Waters of 
Belding. And several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her husband she was 
preceded in death by her parents and her 3 sisters Jessie Martin, Margaret 
Westbrook and Geraldine VanHetloo.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Waters will be held Thursday 2:00 P.M. at the Lake 
Funeral Home in Ionia with Pastor Nancy Patera officiating. Interment Easton 
Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday 4-7 P.M. at the Funeral Home.  
Anyone wishing may make memorial contributions to Ionia Area Hospice.
