Born on April 14, 1922 in Hastings, he was retired with more than 20 years of service with Consumers Power Company and was a WWII veteran with active duty in China. He loved the outdoors, fishing, and hunting and was an avid golfer. He is preceded in death by his parents Ida M. Waters, and Harry Waters of Hastings, one sister Metha Gray of Hastings, his first wife Kathleen Daniels of Hastings, and relatives Bill and Maxine Dipp of Freeport, sister and brother-in-law of Kathleen, Galen Daniels of Lake Odessa who was the brother of Kathleen and Bud's life long best friend, former parents-in-law Lewis and Edna Daniels of Lake Odessa and mother-in-law Helen Clement of Hastings. His memory will be preserved in the hearts of those who lived with and loved him: Spouse, Shirley Waters of Florida, daughters Jeralee Langlois of California, and Dee Thayer of Michigan, and sons Lon Waters of Wyoming, Bill Waters of North Carolina, Patrick Waters of Michigan and Keith Waters of Florida, sister Irma Swarthout of Michigan, grandsons Chris Langlois of California, Gordon Waters of Michigan, and granddaughters Stacey Kanouse, and Steffanie Roberson of Michigan, and great-grandchildren Noah, Dylan and Timothy Kanouse, and Skyler and Taylor Roberson, also of Michigan. Also sister-in-law Wilma Daniels of Michigan, brother-in-law and wife Arnold and Beverly Daniels of Michigan and sister-in-law and husband Eileen and Glendon Pierson of Michigan, and brother-in-law Gordon Clement of Illinois. His life was commemorated in a family gathering at his home in Florida.
