Ionia Sentinel Standard – 7 October 1963
Leo W. Watkins, 64, former resident of Ionia area, died Saturday afternoon in 
Naples, Fla., where he had resided the past six years.  He was born in Easton 
Township, the son of Arthur and Myrtle Watkins and prior to moving to Florida 
spent his entire life in Ionia County.  He was employed on the Bruce Klinger 
farm near Saranac.  He was a veteran of World War I.  Surviving are two 
brothers, Perry Watkins of Lansing and Bert of Flint.

Funeral service will be conducted Tuesday at Naples with interment at the 
Veterans cemetery at St. Petersburg.
