Ionia Sentinel-Standard – Thurs. Jan. 26, 1961

Charles H. Watkins, 69, died unexpectedly Wednesday night at his home. 860 West 
Main street.

He was born in Ionia count, March 9, 1891, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur 
Watkins.

For the past 23 years he had been employed at the Boynton furniture store and 
Boynton funeral home.

Surviving are three brothers, Perry Watkins of Lansing, Leo of Naples, Fla., 
and Bert of Flint.

Funeral service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Boynton funeral home with 
the Rev. Harold A. Jayne of First Methodist church officiating. Burial will be 
in the family lot at Easton cemetery.
