The Ionia Sentinel-Standard

Portland – John E. Watkins, 69, of 428 Center died Saturday at his home.  He 
was born January 16, 1906 in Portland, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward 
Watkins.  He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Hazel Gardner of Portland.  Mr. 
Watkins was a member of the Portland VFW Post.

Services will be held Tuesday at 2pm at the Neller funeral home, Portland.  
Rev. Harold Homer will officiate and burial will be at Portland cemetery.  
Military services will be conducted at the grave.
