The Ionia Standard, Friday, April 23, 1897
Alexander Watson, a brakeman on the D.G.H.&M. was crushed to death between two 
freight cars, while coupling them at Birmingham Wednesday.  His home was in 
Detroit; he was 22 years old, and leaves a wife, but no children.
