MARJEAN RUTH WATTERS 1945-2017
Marjean (Jean) Ruth Watters, 72, of Sheridan passed away at her home April 1, 
2017 from a short battle with cancer. She was born in 1945 to Clayton and 
Lois (Bliss) Wilson in Sheridan, MI.

In 1967, Jean married the love of her life, Bruce Stevens. They built a home 
in Palo in 1976 and raised their family. Jean graduated in 1966 from Mercy 
School of Nursing in Lansing. She was employed by Department of Corrections 
for 32 years and retired from the Carson City Facility. After retirements she 
bought a home in Sheridan where she enjoyed bird watching and spending 
countless hours gardening with her flowers and landscaping. Jean was a very 
caring, thoughtful and giving person, She enjoyed spending time with family 
and friends and lots of laughter.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Bruce Stevens and 
Dana Watters; her brother Marshal Wison; parent-in-laws-Leo and Arilla 
Stevens; sister-in-law, Sonya (David) Crawford. She is survived by her 
sister, Lynnette (Jerry) Beck; sister-in-laws, Juanita (Buddy) Blaisdell and 
Judi Wilson; brother-in-laws, Vic (Joan) Stevens, Erik (Carol) Stevens, and 
Ernie Stevens; son, Matthew (Holly) Stevens; grandson, Gavin Stevens; many 
nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. All had a special 
place in Jean's heart. At the request of a family member it was asked that 
they and their family not be included in the obituary.

It was Jean's wishes not to have a memorial service but we ask that all who 
knew jean to remember a special memory of her and know she is at peace.

Hospice and Palliative care by going to

Central Michigan University, mt.Pleasant, MI 48859.
