She was born March 16, 1944 in Portland, Ore. Mrs. Watts was a member of the First Baptist Church of Portland. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother whose family was very dear to her heart. Surviving are her husband of 40 years, Ralph; daughters, Cindy (Michael) Scheurer of Ionia, Becky (Steve) Colon of Portland and Melissa (Mark) Torp of South Haven; son, Jody (Brenda) Watts of Portland; grandchildren, Jennifer, Codi, Stephen and Jacob Scheurer, Roisin Colon, Kelsea and Regan Torp and Aidan Watts; sisters, Virginia (Paul) Ohman of Seattle, Wash., Carol (Marv) Steinbricher of Byron Center, Beda Cheshier of San Diego, Calif., and Donna Brown of Seattle, Wash.; brother, Doug (Anna) Vassar of Los Angeles, Calif.; and very special sister-in-law, Bobbie Watts of Portland. The funeral service will be conducted by the Rev. Jim Howard, Pastor at 11 a.m., Wednesday at the First Baptist Church of Portland with Rite of Committal following at Portland Cemetery. The family received friends on Monday and will again from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Tuesday at the Schrauben- Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge St., Portland. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Portland - building fund, in memory of Shelley Watts.
