Waugh, died at 5 o’clock this morning from apoplexy. What time she was stricken is not precisely known. Mr. Waugh found her on the floor, unconscious, and breathing heavily, when he went home about 5:30 last evening. With help of neighbors she was placed in bed, and Dr. Cope, and later Dr. Conner, were summoned. They applied usual remedies, but the case was hopeless from the start, and she never recovered consciousness. Mrs. Waugh was born in Canada, April 22, 1842. She and her husband have been residents of Ionia for 25 years or more, and have had the high respect and esteem of the community. She leaves two children: Arundel, a locomotive engineer on Pere Marquette, whose home is in Detroit, and Mrs. Fischer of Erie, Pa. Both were telegraphed, and Arundel arrived on noon train. When Mrs. Fischer will arrive is not known. Time of funeral will be announced tomorrow.
