Portland Observer, 2 Aug 1928

Word has been received in Portland of the recent death at Everett, Wash., of 
Mrs. Lucena Way, who passed away at the home of her son, S.W. Way, in her 86th 
year.  Mrs. Way was well known in Portland.  For many years she resided in this 
vicinity and prior to leaving for the west 24 years ago she lived on a farm 
west of town.  Besides the son at whose home she died she is survived by 
another son, Frank Way, also residing at Everett.  Two brothers also survive, 
Miles Partlow, of Eagle township, and Charles Partlow.

Her son, S.W. Way, conducts a large laundry at Everett, and it is said to be 
doing a large volume of the laundry business of that city.
