November 14, 2025 Excerpts from Saranac Obituary JAMES CHARLES WAYMAN Died Thursday, November 13, 2025-age 85 of Saranac. Born June 21, 1940 in Grand Rapids, son of Dorris & Blanche (Tatro) Wayman. James graduated from Creston high School in 1959 & married Bonnie Conroe on April 13, 1959. He was a self employed carpenter who built for many people including Ladd Builders of Ada. He was always very handy & creative. James enjoyed fishing, hunting & beekeeping. Survived by his loving wife Bonnie Wayman of Saranac; his children, Jay (Brooke)Wayman of Marne & Erin (Peter Ritter) Wayman of Beaconsfield, England. Grandchildren;Katherine itter, Alexander Ritter & Sophia Ritter of England,Siblings; Daniel(Sandra)Wayman of Jackson, Elnora(Roderick) Gale of Grand Rapids, Elsie Vis of Rockford, Sister-in-law; Velma Jean (Bud) Moyer, Christine (Barry)Jackson & Carolyn (Tom) Westbrook, several nieces & nephews. Preceded in death by his brothers & sisters-in-law, Linda (Jim) Ward, Eugene Conroe, Ronald Conroe Sr., Louis Helsel & Larry Vis. Visitation will be Sunday, November 16 from 2-4PM at Lake Funeral Home in Saranac. A Celebration of Life later on. Those wishing may make Memorial Contributions to Corewell Health Hospice.
