Ionia Weekly Standard - Friday, Jan. 10, 1913

Mrs. John Waytelia of Grand Rapids died there at six o'clock Sunday night. She was
the 
mother of Mrs. Joseph Powell of this city, and had lived here herself, moving away 
thirty years ago. Her husband died about twenty years ago. She had 35 grandchildren
and 
23 great-grandchildren, and was eighty-two years old. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Powell and

sons, Walter and Joseph, Jr., went to Grand Rapids Tuesday morning. Other children
are 
Mrs. Chas. Sloma, Mrs. John Wietz and Mrs. Lawrence F. Waytelia of Grand Rapids, and

Wm. Waytelia of this city. The funeral will be held at St. Albert's church in Grand

Rapids on Wednesday morning, and the bearers will be six grandsons; Walter and
Joseph 
Powell, Jr., of this city Martin Waytelia, Joseph, Andrew and John Weitz.
