Ionia Standard - Friday December 11, 1908

The funeral service for Charles H. Weatherwax, at the Church of SS.Peter & Paul, 
Tuesday a.m, was one of the largest attended in recent years. The shop mates of 
deceased, from the Pere Marquette shops, and the Knights of Columbus of which he 
was an esteemed member, were present in large number, who, together with the 
many family friends, filled the large audience room quite completely. 
The singing by the large choir were usually impressive, and he discourse by Fr. 
McCarthy abounded with telling and tender sentiment.
Many friends accompanied the remains to their last earthly resting place in the 
Catholic Cemetery.
The pa; bearers were from the ranks of the shopmen; M.Vizard, Alex McAlary, 
William Snyder, Robert Slowinski, Jack Cunningham and Jos.Jandernoa. The Knights 
of Columbus marched as an escort, with Edw.F.Gallagher, Joseph L.Poole, Millard 
Mithell ad Frank Carten marching as honorary carriers.
