Lyons Herald, 2 Jun 1910

Mrs. James Weaver of Easton was burned to death Tuesday morning.  She was alone 
in the house and her clothing caught fire from the wood stove in the kitchen, it 
is supposed, as there was no other fire.  The first anyone knew of the tragedy 
was when Mrs. Weaver came out of the house covered with flames and crying for 
help.  A neighbor, Dwight Delano, hastened to her aid and put the fire out by 
wrapping her in a heavy blanket, but the deadly work had been done and she died 
before a doctor could reach her.
