CHARLES N. WEAVER
IONIA - Charles N. Weaver, 67, of Ionia died Thursday at Ionia manor.

Born on Dec. 10, 1919, in  Ionia, he was the son of Edward and Sylva (Duso) Weaver.
He was graduated from SS. Peter and Paul Academy in 1938. He entered the U.S. Army in 1942
and was discharged in 1945.

He was married to Virginia Dickman Sept. 12, 1946, in Grand Rapids, she survives.

He worked at general Tire for 31 years, retiring in 1983, was a member of SS. Peter
and Paul church, of the Knights of Columbus No. 944; of VFW Post 4546 in Muir-Lyons, of
the DAV, Chapetr 29, and the Military Order of the Purple heart.

Surviving in addition to his wife are three daughters, Susan Weaver, Mrs. Rex (Mary)
Young, and Mrs. Michael (Bobbie) Cassidy, all of Ionia; two granddaughters; three brothers,
Joseph and Thomas of Ionia and Bernard of Mulliken; four sisters, Norine Zeller of Orleans,
Mrs. Gaylord (Clara) Pline of Lyons, Mrs. Robert (Ruth) Mellinger of Florida, and Mrs.
Gerald (Edna ) Kenney of Belding; was preceded in death by a son, Stephen Edward, in 1947,
and his parents.

Funeral mass will be held at 1 am at SS. Peter and Paul Church.

Burial will be in Mt. Olivet cemetery.

Rosary will be said Sunday at 8 p.m.

Military rite will be held at the cemetery under the auspices of William Cahill of
the VFW Post 4646.

The family will be at the Montgomery-Cook funeral Home, rich street, Saturday from 2
to 4 and 7 to 8:30 p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday.

Memorial have been established for SS.Peter and Paul Church and School,  in care of
the funeral home.
