It is believed that the fall which occurred on the stairs from the first to the second floor of the home resulted in an injury to the back of the head, causing death or causing the stroke which then resulted in her death. She was the widow of Maxwell H. Webber, Ionia contractor, who was the organizer of the Michigan Colprovia Company, of Grand Rapids. He died in an auto accident in 1937. At the time of her death, Mrs. Webber was treasurer of the company. She was also the daughter of William B. Heath, former Ionia bank official. She was manager for 15 years of the Ionia County Bureau of Social Aid for the State Welfare Commission. She was a member of the City Club of Grand Rapids, the Ionia Business and Professional Women’s Club, and a graduate of Vassar College. Surviving are her father, a sister, Mrs. Ada Owsley, of Flint and Ionia, and a nephew, William Owsley, of Berea, Kentucky. The funeral was held Monday at 2:00 p.m. from St. Johns Episcopal Church here with burial in Highland Park Cemetery. Arrangements were by Boynton Funeral Home.
