Ionia Sentinel - 26 February 1921
Mrs. Mary E. Webber, president of the Webber State Bank  at Portland and mother 
of Lorenzo  Webber of that place this morning at 9:30 at the home of her 
daughter,  Mrs. James  E. Latta, at Minneapolis, according to a telegram 
received by the Portland relatives.  Mrs. Webber had been with her daughter 
there for some time visiting and her death was a shock to her friends.  She was 
a prominent Ionia county resident of many years and was 74 years of age.  She 
was born in Elmira, N.Y., and in 1870 was married to John Webber, soon 
thereafter coming to Portland.

Since the reorganization of the Portland bank 15 years ago, Mrs. Weber has been 
the institution's president.  She leaves a son, Lorenzo Webber, of  Portland, 
her daughter,  Mrs. Latta and a half sister,  Mrs. Anna D. Moss, of Elmira, N. 
Y.  Burial will be in  Portland.
