He had undergone an operation the preceding Friday. He was born in Berlin, Germany and for some time he lived on Rich Street in Ionia. He was a dye maker at the car shops and the Hayes Ionia plant, having left Ionia nine years to work in Krego Harbor. He is survived by his wife, Frieda, three children, George 16, Gertrude 13 and Billy 8; a brother Alfred of Krego Harbor; two sisters and one brother, Helena, Ella and Brian Weber of Berlin, Germany and an aunt, Mrs. Oscar Schumann, Ionia. Funeral services will be from the home of Charles Street, Krego Harbor, Thursday, April 8 at 2 o’clock in the afternoon.
