Graveside Service Held for Mrs. F. Weber

Graveside services were held for Mrs.Fannie M.Weber, 88, at the Union cemetery 
in Maple Grove township, Thursday at 3 p.m. Mrs.Weber passed away Tuesday, June 
26, at the home of her sister Mrs.Grace L. Straus of Grand Rapids, where she has 
resided since 1957. She was the widow of Al Weber, well known Michigan newspaper 
man who was publisher of the Cheboygan Observer for many years and passed away 
in 1957. He was one of the three publishers to be named to the Publishers Hall 
of Fame at Lansing so honored in 94 years.

Mr. and Mrs. Weber were well known here as were former residents. Mr.Weber was 
connected with the local newspaper from 1898 until selling the business to Mr 
and Mrs. A.J. Dann in 1905.

Mrs.Weber was a sister of the late Jennie (Mrs.Otis) Miner and Aunt of Nell Roe 
and the late Grace Nicot.
