Webler, 87, of Belding, formerly of Sheridan, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2003, at United Memorial Health Center in Greenville. He was born Feb. 2, 1915, in Marion, Wis. Clarence was a member of New Hope Methodist Church in Mecosta and the Sheridan V.F.W. Post #5065. He was a volunteer at Sheridan Community Hospital, where he volunteered more than 2,000 hours. Clarence enjoyed woodworking and playing the harmonica. He was loved by many people in the Sheridan area and his friends at Riverdale Adult Foster Care in Belding. Clarence was a veteran of World War II. Clarence is survived by his son, John Webler of Denver. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and one sister. Funeral and committal services for Clarence are 2 p.m. Monday at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding, with Pastor James Noggle of New Hope United Methodist Church officiating. Interment is in Crystal Cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Sheridan Community Hospital.
