Webster three miles north of this village, on Friday morning, April 2d, after a brief illness in the 87th year of her life. Mr. and Mrs. Webster were among the earliest settlers of this township, coming here in 1837, from Monroe county, New York, and were prominently identified with its early history. Mr. Webster died many years ago and Mrs. Webster continued a resident of this township with the exception of a brief interval, when the family visited California, up to the time of her death. She was widely known and held a warm place in the hearts of all, especially those early settlers who gratefully remember her kindness and generosity in those trials and hardships incident to pioneer life Her funeral took place from the family residence, on Sunday afternoon and was largely attended, Rev. D. P. Breed officiating. File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/mi/ionia/obits/w/webster11669nob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.net/mifiles/ File size: 1.5 Kb
