July 17, 1912 FUNERAL LARGELY ATTENDED Mrs. Luella K. Webster Buried Sunday with Grand Lodge Honors. The funeral for Mrs. Louella K. Webster, wife of O. F. Webster, was _nded at three o’clock Sunday afternoon, from the late residence in Belding. The house, proches and lawn and even the street was crowded with friends and citizens who turned out in large numbers to pay their last tribute of regard. Not in many years has a funeral in that city been so generally attended, indicating a high regard in which the deceased was held at home, as well as in the state and national Degree of Honor in which she was one of the leading workers. The service was in charge of W. E. Clark of Chicago, a former Universalist minister, but now a speaker for the American Secular Union and freethought federation. Mrs. Webster has long been identified with this federation and was firm in the belief. The tribute of Mr. Clark was from his point of view one of the most beautiful that could be put in words, a high eulogy of her life, character and integrity. The pall bearers were Guy D. Weter, Fred A. Washburn, H. A. Lamb, W. L. Cusser, H. J. Connell and A. E. Weter, and the music was by Mrs. Dr. Feguson, of Grand Rapids and Mrs. Dr. Armstrong, of Belding. The Grand lodge of the Degree of Honor of Michigan was represented by most of the Grand lodge staff ladies who acted as honorary pall bearers. They were present as follows: Fannie C. Blassius, grand Chief of Honor, Lansing; Annie Touhey, grand recorder, of Detroit: Elva K. Berry; chairman of finance committee, Adrian; Josephine Gorey of Detroit; Lottie Whipple of Battle Creek; Jennie L. Henry, of Detroit; Nattie G. Hewitt; Allie Creasinger, of Maple Rapids; and the Belding representative of the Grand lodge staff, Mrs. Mary Ritterstoff, who is outside watch. The Belding Pythian Sisters, Degree of Honor, Lady Maccabees and Royal Neighbors all attended in a body. The burial was in Riverridge cemetery. Additional Comments: Mrs. Oscar F.
