The immediate cause of her death was pneumonia, brought on by constant care and worry during the sickness of her husband, the late James Webster. Just two weeks after her husband and passed away, (he having died on Sunday morning,July 12th) Mrs.Webster's life went out; and upon the same day and hour, two weeks afterward, her remains were laid at rest by the side of those of her husband. Mrs. Webster was known to a majority of our readers, having lived here a large portion of her life, and was highly esteemed by her large circle of friends and acquaintances. She had been a devoted wife and mother, and in her death her five children have sustained a severe loss; and the leaving of the two smaller children without father or mother at their age is particularly sad. The children are Eva (Mrs.Ben Smith) Ira, Dana, John and James. Mrs.Webster was 49 years of age at the time of her death. The funeral services were conducted from the house yesterday afternoon, the Rev D.E.Millard officiating at the last sad rites. DEATH OF MRS.WEBSTER Two weeks ago yesterday all that was mortal of James M.Webster was consigned to the dust. Yesterday affectionate hands layed in their last resting place the remains of his faithful wife. She died in this village, Sunday July 26, just two weeks subsequent to that of her husband, her death resulting from inflammation of the lungs. The funeral was held at the homestead yesterday afternoon at three o'clock, and at the request of the deceased the services were conducted the same at those that attended the burial of her husband. Rev.D.E.Millard delivered the address to the Mourning friends and bereft relatives and was assisted by Rev's Goodell and Anderson. The death of Mrs.Webster is a severe blow to her children, of whom she left five; Eva,Ira,Dana,John and James. They have the deepest sympathy of this community in their affliction. The deceased was a noble lady, whose womanly qualities endeared her to all who knew her. Additional Comments: Portland Cem.,EMD-#97-Row 11 Portland, Mich.
