Grace Wedderburn, age 77 of Ionia passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2005 in 
Ionia. She was born May 1, 1928 in Ionia Twp. the daughter of Francis and 
Margaret (Ellens) McArthur. She married Jack Wedderburn September 2, 1950. 
She worked in the Medical Records Department at the State Hospital in Ionia 
and the Ionia County Memorial Hospital and for Dr.'s Thangamani, O'Malley, 
and Punjabi. She most recently worked for the Ionia Commission on Aging as an 
Administrative Assistant. She was a member of First Christian American 
Revolution, Daughters of Union, Daughter of 1812, Ionia County Genealogical 
Society and Ionia County Historical Society. She was an avid quilter and 
seamstress and loved music.
 
Grace is survived by her son Jack (Jake) Wedderburn Jr. of Orleans, 
daughters, Marilyn and Bill McLenithan of Lake Odessa, Margo and Marty 
McKendry of Ionia; brother Harold MacArthur of Grand Rapids; grandchildren 
Tech Sergeant Bryan and Lisa Yeomans of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Beth Ann 
McLenithan of Lake Odessa and Evan and Sean McKendry of Ionia.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jack in 1999 and her parents and one 
sister-in-law.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, at First Christian Church 
in Ionia with Rev. Armand Aronson officiating. The family will receive 
friends and relatives Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service at the 
church. Family served by Lake Funeral Home of Ionia.
