Mrs. Hattie Wedge died at her home on S. Jackson St., Friday, 2, after a brief 
illness of about two weeks.  Her health had not been good for some time, but 
her condition was not thought to be serious until the time above mentioned.  
She leaves a husband and four children, three daughters and one son, and three 
grandchildren, all of Ionia; and a sister, Mrs. Leroy Spencer of Lyons.  The 
funeral was held Sunday afternoon and the body laid to rest in Highland Park 
Cemetery.  The new grave was covered with flowers, those messengers of love 
and comfort to the sorrowing ones of earth and a symbol of friendship and 
sympathy.
