Howard City Record – Thurs. May 27, 1915

Richard Wedge was born near Caledonia, Ontario, Canada, Sept. 30, 1835 and 
departed this life May 16, 1915 at his home.

On May 21, 1867 he married Margaret Ann White at Brantford, Canada. They moved 
to Saranac where they resided until 3 years ago when they moved to Coral where 
they resided until his death.

To this union were born seven children six of whom survive him.

He joined the Free Methodist church at Saranac about 38 years ago of which he 
has been a consistent member since.

There is left to mourn his departure a widow, four sons and two daughters; John 
William, George, Charles Ora, Herbert G., Mrs. Charles Ward and Mrs. Wm. Youngs 
also six grandchildren and hosts of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 19, at the F. M. church at Coral 
conducted by Rev. H. Rose, and Rev. W. H. Holcomb assisted by Rev. L. T. 
Jacokes of Lakeview. Interment win Coral cemetery.
