Belding Banner – Thurs. Feb. 13, 1908

The death of Mrs. Sylvanus Weed occurred at the home north of Cooks Corners 
Sunday morning, about nine o’clock.

The deceased had been sick with pneumonia for some time. She passed peacefully 
away, aged 64 years, her maiden name was Priscilla Grove and she was married to 
Mr. Weed about twelve years ago, no children were born to them and she leaves 
her aged husband who has the sympathy of all in his sad affliction. 

Her mother died on the farm several years ago and was one of the old residents 
of Otisco. Mrs. Weed was a sister of Henry and Lyman Grove, Mrs. Jed Pond of 
Grand Rapids and Mrs. H. S. Waldron of Hart. The funeral in charge of Miller & 
Harris Undertakers, was held Wednesday at the late home. Rev. G. F. Craig of 
the M. E, Church her pastor officiating, interment in Otisco cemetery.
