The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Friday, November 29, 1946


Funeral services were held Monday from the Portland Congregational church for 
Mrs. Adah Weed, 64, who died November 21 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. 
Merwood Reahm, and Mr. Reahm after an illness of three years.  The Rev. 
Benjamin Davies officiated and bearers were Laban Smith, Dr. Donald Wright, 
Lee Hendee, William J. Traynick, Albert Guidi and Arthur Vincent.

Mrs. Weed was born in Ionia and married H. E. Weed about 47 years ago.  They 
lived in Lyons about seven years and then went to Portland where Mrs. Weed has 
lived about 40 years.  Mr. Weed died a few years ago.  Mrs. Weed was a member 
of the Congregational church of Portland, the Guild, Eastern Star, Maccabees 
and Royal Neighbors.

She is survived by three sons, Stanley Weed of Bay City, Allen Weed of St. 
Johns, and Stewart Weed of Eaton Rapids; one daughter, Mrs. Merwood Reahm of 
Portland, one brother, George Allen of Portland, and a half-brother, Fred 
Clements of Lyons.
