Word has been received here of the death of Mrs. Leonard Weeks, 84, of 
Greenville, which occurred early Wednesday morning at the home of her son-in-
law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Louis Sagendorf.

Mrs. Weeks had been in usual health for a lady of her years up until Saturday 
when it is thought she suffered a slight stroke.  She became unconscious and 
gradually grew weaker until the end.  She had resided with the Sagendorfs for 
the past 12 years, in fact since shortly after Mr. Weeks’ death.  The Weeks 
family resided on Broas street when making their home in this city.

The deceased was Libbie Slawson before her marriage, having been born in the 
east.  Her funeral service will be held at the Faber funeral home in Greenville 
Friday afternoon at 4 o’clock.  Her pastor, Rev. Leo Niles of the Methodist 
church will officiate.  The survivors are two sons, Guy of Edmore and Clare of 
Greenville besides the daughter, Mrs. Louis Sagendorf, also 9 grandchildren and 
8 great grandchildren,  Interment will be in Otisco cemetery.
