YOUNG MOTHER GONE

Vernie Brown Weeks Died At Richmond Monday

Mrs. Fred Weeks died July 26 at her home at Richmond, Mich., aged 29 years.

Vernie Brown was born in Vergennes July 9, 1886. The family lived in Lowell 
several years and Vernie attended the High school, completing the eleventh 
grade work and graduating from Belding High school a year later. She attended 
the Ypsilanti Normal school graduated and taught four years, two of them as 
principal of the Richmond schools.

Three years ago she married Fred Weeks and they have since made their home at 
Richmond. She is survived by her husband, a son Frederick two years old and a 
babe of two weeks. A mother, Mrs. Alice Brown, sister, Nina of Belding and 
brother Earl of Grattan also mourn the untimely death of a loved daughter and 
sister.
Vernie had many friends and former school mates in Lowell who will grieve for 
and always hold her in affectionate remembrance.
