Orleans:  Mrs. Jane Weeks and old and much respected resident of this place,
died very suddenly Tuesday of Bright’s disease.  Mrs. Weeks was born in Macomb
county in 1837, coming to this place many years ago and settleing on what is
known as the old Preston farm.  She has been a faithful and loving wife and
mother, a faithful friend and neighbor.  The funeral services were conducted at
the M.E. church, Thursday at 2 o’clock.  Burial in Orleans cemetery.
