Mrs. J. Weippert Dies Friday At Coldwater Hospital

Mrs. Jennie E. Weippert, 84, a former Portland resident, passed away last 
Friday at ta hospital in Coldwater. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning 
at a funeral home there, Rev. Frederick Kendall, of Quincy, officiating. Burial 
was in Sebewa, and another service was held at the grave.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Harold Jewell, of route 5, Coldwater; three 
grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

The deceased was born in Ionia county, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin 
Lyda. She spent her childhood in Portland and was a teacher in rural schools in 
this area for over 30 years. She attended the Methodist church.
