WEISER of Portland Died March 17, 2019-age 72, after a battle with Lewy Body Dementia. Born 1946 in Lynwood, Calif., to Robert "Bud" Weiser & Jean Ervin Weiser. The family lived in Royal Oak, MI and Texas before settling in Pittsford, New York. They moved from New York to Michigan when Dick was 16 years of age. Graduated from Flint Southwestern High School in 1964. Received a Bachelor's Degree in English from Ohio Wesleyan University. Served the U.S. Army in Vietnam. After the Army, graduated from University of Michigan Law school in 1972. Spent his career as an attorney specializing in workers compensation in Lansing & retired as assistant general counsel from the Accident Fund Co. Dick & his wife Annette, raised two daughters, Kate & Laura in Okemos. Survived by wife of 36 years Annette (Gensterblum), of Portland, Daughters Kate & Laura. Preceded in death by his parents, Jean and brother Thomas Ervin Weiser. Memorial service will be Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 11 00 a.m. at the Lehman Funeral Home, Portland with visitation one hour prior to the service. Family request donations be made to Alzheimer's Association or Lewy Body Dementia Association.
