He was taken ill Thursday night with pneumonia which developed from the flu. He was born in Ionia February 2, 1875 the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Weiser, and with the exception of five years in Alpena, his entire life has been spent in Ionia. As a boy he attended school at Prairie Creek and later attended the Ionia public schools. After finishing school he owned a billiard hall in Alpena for five years. He was married December 29, 1910 to Miss Julia Micks, also of Ionia. Mr. Wiser was employed at the Pere Marquette car shops for 10 years and for 10 years at the Hayes body factory, and worked for one year at a body factory at Kalamazoo. He had been a member of the Elks for a number of years. Surviving are his wife; one brother, Joseph, of Knightstown, Indiana, and two sisters, Mrs. George White, of Rochester, New York, and Mrs. A.W. White, of Littletown, Colorado. Funeral services will be held from the Bradley funeral home Friday afternoon at 2:30 with Rev. Fr. V.J. Coyle, of the SS. Peter and Paul church, officiating. The body will be on view at the home, 810 East Main street until Friday noon.
