His death was quite sudden, although he had been in failing health for six or seven years. Deceased was born in Permanseus, Bavaria, Oct. 8, 1824. He came to America in 1854, settling in Indiana. he removed to Michigan 31 years ago last January. On Oct. 8 next, he would have been married to the wife who survives him; fifty years. He leaves two sons, Edward and Frederick, both farmers in Orange; and three daughters, Mrs.Charles Graff and Miss Elizabeth Weisgerber, both of this city and Mrs.Geo. H. West, of New Buffalo. Deceased was a kind and affectionate man in his family, a prudent man of affairs, and a peaceful, honorable citizen, well liked by his neighbors. The funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, at 1:00 o'clock at the family residence, and at 2 o'clock at the Evangelical Church. Additional Comments: Oak Hill Cem.
