Mrs. Weisgerber, whose maiden name was Sarah Little, was born in New York March 24, 1857. She would have been 77 years old had she lived until March 24. She came to Ionia county at the age of two years. Most of her lifetime was spent in the LeValley neighborhood where she was a member of the Aid Society and active in church and community work. She was ever ready to give of her time and means and her splendid Christian character and unselfish devotion to home and friends endeared her to everyone. Her death will leave a vacancy in the neighborhood circle that will be hard to fill. Mrs. Weisgerber is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Lyle French, Ionia, Mrs. R. Sykes, Muir; Mrs. Kirk Wickes, Grand Rapids; two sons, William and Robert Weisgerber, both of Ionia. Mr. Weisgerber died 28 years ago. The funeral will be held from the old home farm in LeValley Friday afternoon at two o’clock. Services will be conducted by Rev. E. L. Sutcliffe of Plainwell, a former minister at LeValley, assisted by Rev. J. M. Jensen. Burial will be in the family lot in Tuttle cemetery.
